Notes
An event planned by two Wilmette families raised $100,000 for a cure for pediatric epilepsy. "Rock the Block" was intended as a way for Stacey Pigott and Kathy Dodd to do something in their own neighborhood to fund research for a cure for the seizure disorder that affects children in both of their families. It grew into a concert in Chicago's Ravenswood neighborhood Saturday, drawing a large crowd from Wilmette and Winnetka as well as the city.
