The Harvest Home Dinner Draws Many

With Brown Hall filled to its capacity, Tuesday evening, the Woman's Association of the Baptist church served a splendid turkey dinner. The dining room was artisticall decorated and the tables were laden with flowers and fruits. Mesdames John Segsworth and C. W. Braithwaite assisted by Mrs. Lester, Mrs. McDowell and a number of the young ladies were in charge of the dining rooms, while Mrs. O. W. Schmidt, Mrs. Henry L. Beach, Mrs. H. Bowen, Mrs. William H. Faul, Mrs. Stevens and Mrs. Moore took charge in the kitchen. The hosts and hostesses at the various tables included Messrs. and Mesdames Gregg, Major, Mendsen, Mahan and Burns. Following the dinner an interesting program was given by Mr. F. H. Anderson, superintendent of the Baptist executive council, who spoke a few words of greeting; Mr. Lawrence Brockway, known as the American Harry Lauder, and Miss Peters of Peoria, Illinois, who charmed her audience with many readings. Rev. B. Frank Taber, pastor of the church, closed with afew earnest words about the demand for loyalty to the church in a great crisis of human history.
