Mr. and Mrs. Hale Holden of 844 Bryant avenue are visiting Dr. and Mrs. St. Clair Street in Kansas City, Mo.
The Zeta Phi Eta sorority of Cumnock School of Oratory will give a dance tomorrow evening at the Woman's Club
Miss Laura Canfield of New York, who has been the guest of Mrs. James Houghteling, 731 Prospect avenue, has returned to the east.
Mrs. Carter Harrison, 3150 Sheridan road, on Sunday will give a tea for Miss Georgiana Owsley and Miss Elizabeth Newberry.
Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Howe and family have returned from a two months' trip. They will be at home at 549 Lincoln avenue.
A dancing class is to be conducted for the boarders of the Girton school by Mrs. Ruth Coffin Collins. The class will meet every Friday evening.
At a meeting of the Art and Literature department of the Woman's club, Thursday, Mrs. Charles W. Hubbard, gave a reading of the "Wine Press," by Alfred Noyes.
Saturday evening the Kappa Alpha Theta of Northwestern held a dance of forty couples at the Woman's club, Winnetka. Miss clara Tatley was in charge of the affair. Refreshments of apples, cookies and cider were served.
Those interested in the organizing of a civics class in Winnetka met at Community House Tuesday afternoon to hear Nathan Wilbur Helm, principal of the Evanston Academy, lecture on the "Opportunities in Civics for Women."
Mr. Ayres Boal, who has been in New York with his mother, Mrs. Charles T. Boal of the Congress hotel, to greet his sister, Mrs. Pierre L. Wickes on her return from Europe, is now at his residence, 789 Sheridan road.
The junior auxiliary of the North Shore Catholic Woman's League held its monthly meeting Saturday afternoon at the Woman's Club. A board of directors was elected composed of the following members: Miss Frances Flaherty, Miss Eleanore Berry, Miss Adelaide Murphy and Miss Marie Taylor.
