- At the last meeting of the village board a Wilmette resident requested that the Chicago Milwaukee Electric railroad be compelled to sound their gongs at all street crossings. The following day an automobile containing an Evanston man and his family was struck by a Chicago Milwaukee Electric car at the Central Street crossing damaging the car.
