Mrs. John Douglass will give a tea tomorrow at her home, 2404 Harrison street.

Miss Mary Lord will sail today from Europe, arriving in Philadelphia on Oct. 21.

Mr. Niles Carpenter, 746 Forest avenue, is spending the month at Little Cedar Lake, Wisconsin.

The Monday Reading Club met at the home of Mrs. Everett T. Marsh, 2221 Harrison street.

Mrs. Robert G. Bear, 2731 Harrison street, entertained at luncheon and bridge yesterday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Elliott Wheeler (nee Adrienne Tracy) have returned from their wedding trip and expect to move into their home at 1234 Judson avenue.

Miss Ruth Mitchell, 2203 Central street, returned Sunday from Marion, Illinois, where she has been spending the summer, to enter Northwestern University.

Mrs. A. S. Van Deusen and family, 1613 Wesley avenue, have returned from their home in Old Mission, Michigan, where they have been for two months.

Mrs. Abram W. Harris II, and small daughter, 1745 Chicago avenue, arrived today from Beaver, Pennsylvania, where she has been spending the summer with her parents. Mrs. Harris was accompanied by her sister, Miss Galey, who will be her guest for several weeks.

The harvest dinner and dance will take place at Westmoreland Country club on Saturday evening, Oct. 10. This will draw to a close the social activities of the summer at the club.

Messrs. George Valentine, 2407 Pioneer road; Robert Phalen, 2418 Hartzell street; Gordon Guilliams, 2423 Harrison street, Leroy Branch, 2101 Harrison street, and Daniel Comstock, 2408 Hartzell street, left this week for Champaign, where they will attend Illinois University.
