- Richard Stern, owner of the Wilmette Theater, 1122 Central Ave., Wilmette, won a federal suit Sept. 3 filed against the Village of Wilmette and three men involved in the seizure Feb. 14 of an x-rated movie, "Panorama Blue." Co-defendants with the village were Robert Mangler, village attorney, Wilmette Police Sgt. Donald Sternberg who confiscated the film after authorization from the fourth defendant, Harold W. Sullivan, chief judge of the 2nd district of the Cook County Circuit Court. The measure could make obscenity prosecution the responsiblity of the Cook County State's Attorney.
