- William B. Montgomery, 228 Raleigh road, Kenilworoth, passed away at this home Sunday [25 Aug 1940] after an illness of several months, at the age of 71 years. He is survived by his widow, Mary; by two daughters, Mrs. G. A. Lindsley of Westwood, California, and Mrs. William F. Mueller of Kenilworth; by a son, F. B. Ahara of Evanston; by five grandchildren: Robert Lindsley of Kenilworth, Richard and Howard Ahara of Evanston, and Mary V. and William Penick of Kenilworth; and by a great-granddaughter, Susan Lindsley.
