The Wilmette Historical Socieity is offering an inside look at three historically significant houses in Wilmette on Sunday afternoon in its annual housewalk. Featured houses include the 1930's house designed for C.P. Dubbs by Philip Maher; a 1922 Italian Renaissance Revival style house on Sheridan Road built by Walter Ahlschlager; and an 1870s Italianate house near Washintgon and Park renovated in 2006. Along with the houses the walk features tours of The Michigan Shores Club designed by Daniel Burnham. Comments by Mary Schmick who grew up in the Ahlschlager home.
