- A good sized crowd passed through the library Saturday afternoon and evening in observance of the fortieth [40th] anniversary of the founding of the Evanston Public Library. Professor F. W. Nichols gave a motion picture exhibit of educational story films in Library Hall. Among the visitors was William T. Shepherd, 1724 Chicago avenue, chairman of the first meeting called for the establishment of a free public library in 1870. J. S. Curry and Richard C. Lake, were among the visitors of the evening.
