Notes: An orientation session is scheduled from 6:30-7:30 p.m. today (April 17) for parents of incoming kindergartners.

•The school asks families to encourage their students to spend recess in the school garden beginning April 28.

•The school is celebrating Earth Week Monday through April 25.

•Playground volunteers are needed Mondays, Tuesdays or Fridays during May as well as the first two weeks of June. Contact Marci Blunk

•Principal Melanie Horowitz leads the final Book Banter for the year from 7-9 p.m. April 28 at the Wilmette Public Library, 1242 Wilmette Ave. The group, which is open to any Central parent, will read "Bridge of Sighs" by Richard Russo.
