- Lt. Colonel Donald F. Snellback (USAR Retired), 88, of died Feb. 24 in Winter Haven Fla.
He was born on July 13, 1919 in the Bronx, N.Y., the son of Frank H. and Alice McKenna Snellback.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, the former Helen Burke; and his children Barbara, Donna, Dean, Tom (of Lake Bluff), and Don, Jr. (of Wilmette); 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on March 1 at the Holy Cross Church in Deerfield followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. A military funeral will follow at Fort Sheridan, Highwood.
