- Notes
- Wilmette Park District commissioners approved a $21.8 million budget for the coming year including $2.5 million in capital improvements. Those items will be funded by a $1 million bond issued sold late last year and from some budget surpluses. The largest expense will be to rebuild the large parking lot around the Community Recreation Center at 3000 Glenview Road. The budget also includes money for the first part of a long-term comprehensive study of the district's lake-front facilities including Gillson Park, Bateman Park and Langdon Park. The park district reopened a swiming area at Langdon Park last summer. Comments by Thomas Grisamore, sperintendent of parks and recreation.
