- Edward Ellis Katz, 85, of Northfield, formerly of Wilmette and Glencoe, died Nov. 7 at home.
He was born Nov. 25, 1921. He met his wife, LaDora, in New York City, and they married in 1954.
Survivors include one daughter, Deborah Katz (Randy) Knowles ; one son, David (Cathy Jacobs), five grandchildren, Lauren and Leah Katz, and Brittany, Taylor, and Katie Jacobs; and one sister, Alma Cohn.
He was predeceased by his wife, LaDora.
