- Fourth annual progressive dinner Saturday; Next school board meeting is Monday; Saturday basketball program; Parent-teacher conferences next week; Open House Nov. 13; Children's choir open to all students in third through eighth grades; Thanks to families who participated in the Stockings fof Soldiers project; Eighth-grade students participating in ithe League of Women Voters student government program. St. Joseph students have been working with the Wilmette Public Library Board; Congratulations to second grader Elizabeth Magolske and third-grader Isolde McKiernan who represented St. Joseph in a chess tournament for girls; The cross country team is having a successful year. The boys junior varsity placed third overall City Suburban Catholic League competition. Top finishers include Conor Trapp, Austin Santacruz, Thomas Smart, Eddie Trapp, Sam Kelly, Matt Lee, Clare Kennedy, Emily Trelber, Andrew Fox. The team is coached by Principal Ron Berger, assistant coach Rebecca Pontarelli and coordinator Margaret Lee.
