- Nicholas Martin Kalmes, 602 Ridge Road, Wilmette, died at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, on November 7. Born in Niles Center (now Skokie). The husband of the late Marie, he is survived by four children, Suzanne, Margaret, Rose Marie, and Mrs. Norbert Steffens, of Los Angeles, Calif.; four sisters, Kathleen, Mrs. William Jacobson, of Oakland, Calif., Mrs. Van Wagner, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Richard Dye, of Chicago; and two brothers, John of Phoenix, Ariz., and Francis.
