Gowing-Evans Wedding

A simple home wedding will take place next Tuesday evening, April 25, at 7:30, when Miss Hortense Gowing, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Parker Gowing, 630 Washington avenue, and Mr. Elliot Howland Evans are married. Rev. Frank E. Wilson, of St. Augustine's will read the service and the bride's only attendants will be Miss Katherine Ziesing, of Glencoe, and Miss Marian Rinn, of Chicago. Charles Evans, Jr., who is noted for his prominence in golfing circles, will serve his brother as best man. Mr. and Mrs. Evans will leave immediately after the service for their wedding trip and will be at thome after July 1 at 6641 Glenwood avenue, Chicago.
Among the prenuptial affairs for Miss Gowing are a luncheon and matinee party given Wednesday by Miss Katherine Ziesing, 176 Beach road, Glencoe. The party attended the performance of "Mrs. McChesney," with Ethyl Barrymore as star, at Powers'. Miss Marian Rinn, of Chicago, will entertain the bridal party Sunday evening at a supper.- Featured Link
