- Mr. Herbert Ward gave a lecture at the Woman's Club about his own personal observations of the "human" side of the war. Ward is a sculptor in Paris, English by birth with an American wife. He volunteered as an ambulance corps in the front lines until he was wounded. Mr. Ward gave two sons to the war. One was killed in action, and the other was wounded and is now a prisoner of war.
