- The Winnetka Historical Society will celebrate its 75th anniversary with a dinner gala and auction the evening of Sept. 15. The party will be held at a private residence on Woodley Road and the event includes both live and silent auctions.
The museum, also the society's headquarters, is located at 411 Linden Avenue in Winnetka. The Society also owns the C.1837 Schmidt-Burnham Log House at 1140 Willow Road in Crorw Island Woods. The society moved the house from its previous location on Tower Road in 2003 and opened it to the public in September of 2006.
