The moving picture shows have cut into the number that come to the Wilmette Public Library on Wednesday and Saturday evenings. Where formerly over a hundred books were drawn on these nights, now only about forty are taken. Miss Law, the librarian, however, says that she does not think this will continue. "Either the novelty will wear off, or the dimes will give out," she says. The number drawing books during the day keeps up to the usual standard and the light fiction remains in favor. Seventy-five books were issued on July 3. The average is about forty a day. The library has on file interesting booklets regarding foreign travel, with helpful hints for making long journeys. Automobile guide books are also to be had, and routes can be obrained for any mid-west road.
