- Wilmette Board committee authorized up to $10,000 last month to do engineering work and study feasiblity of reconstructing a one-block alley with pretty masonry tiles similar to those that cover many of the town's more upscale driveways. The idea is make the alley's more permeable with tiles that allow drainage.
