Joan Kowing McGregor, 50, died July 30 after a long battle with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia.

Mrs. McGregor was born on Dec. 22, 1956, in Seattle, Wash. She married Clyde Smith McGregor of Pittsburgh, Pa., on Aug. 27, 1977, at First Congregational Church in Madison, Wis.


Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Clyde; one son, Gordon (Lara) of Evanston; three daughters, Maggie of Costa Mesa, Calif., and Amy and Claire of Winnetka; her parents Gordie and Carol Kowing of Monona, Wis.; three sisters Terry (Mike) Crouchet of Minneapolis, Minn., Kathleen (Bruce) Schreiner of Tempe, Ariz., and Jeannie Kowing Schaefer of Verona, Wis.; her grandfather Elroy Dohmeyer of Mequon, Wis.; four nieces, Caitlin Crouchet, Alyssa Schreiner, Leslie Schaefer and Leanne Schaefer; and two nephews, Casey Schreiner and Brent Schaefer.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother and grandfather, Rose and Frank Kowing; grandmother, Alice Dohmeyer; and mother-in-law, Lilly S. McGregor.
