Koenig, residents of Glenview
for more than 55 years, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Saturday at the
North Shore Country Club.
The couple married July 25,
1942, in the Episcopal Church
of the Advent in Chicago's Lo-
gan Square neighborhood.
Both were born in Chicago.
The couple have a son, Tom
(Sonja Loughlin); three
daughters, Carolyn (Chris)
Eigel, Nancy (Craig) Davis
and Jeanne Hanson; 10 grand-
children, Alissa and Meredith
Koenig, Jeff, Ted and Amy
Eigel, Chris and Tom Boiling,
Matt Koenig and Megan and
Kristen Hanson; and six
great-grandchildren, Olivia,
Annabel and Jamison Eigel,
Will and Baden Boiling and
Morgan Grace Eigel.
The couple co-founded
Koenig and Strey Realtors,
GMAC, with Norma's brother
Thomas Strey.
