- More than 1400 people attended the initial performances of the Village Theatre, Wilmette's latest movie house. The enterprise is the work of [Frank] Seng and Kelly [sic] [Edward F. Kelley]. Manager A. [sic] L. Sparr [Myron Leslie Sparr] was introduced to the audience by Mr. Kelly opening night. The seating capacity is 625. Music is supplied by a Kimball pipe organ and grand piano.
