Lawsuits: Hausen, et al., vs. Village of Wilmette, Case No. 06 CH25775, now pending in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illnois.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Wilmette will conduct a public hearing on July 24, 2007, at 7:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the Wilmette Village Hall, 1200 Wilmette Avenue, Wilmette, Illinois, during the course of the Regular Meeting of the President and Board of Trustees.

The purpose of this hearing is to consider the approval of a settlement agreement concerning the lawsuit entitled, Hausen, et al.. v. Village of Wilmette, Case No. 06 CH 25775, now pending in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois. This lawsuit arises out of the previous denial of a request by George Hausen and Katherine D. Johnson and Mark T. Johnson for two 10' lot width variations in order to permit a two-lot subdivision of the property commonly known as 833 15th Street, Wilmette, Cook County, Illinois, and legally described as:

The North 100 Feet of the East 237 Feet of Lot 6 in the County Clerk's Division in the Northeast Fractional Quarter of Section 33, Township 42 North, Range 13 East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois.

The proposed settlement of this case would permit subdivision of the 100' x 204' subject property into two 50' x 204' lots. The proposed settlement would limit the lot area coverage and maximum permitted floor area of new residential construction on the subject property, and would also limit the location of certain accessory structures on the subject property. Public comment concerning the proposed settlement agreement will be heard by the Village Board during the course of the Public Hearing. Written comments about the proposed settlement may also be submitted in advance of the hearing.
