- Martin Hayes Bickham, sociologist and long-time civil rights worker, died May 2 at Evanston Hospital. Mr. Bickham, 95, lived at 429 9th St. in Wilmette.
He was born Oct. 7, 1880, in Churchtown, Pa.
He is survived by four daughters, Catherine Ann Bean, Margaret Reid Nygaard, Emma Hayes Pitcher and Frances Louise Bayle.
