Quarterly business meeting of the Wilmette Baptist Church was held Wednesday evening to discuss plans for the next 9 montohs of active work. The membership department under leadeship of P. R. Finlay, is planning for a Rally on September 29. Department of Property and Finance reported the church treasury is in excellent condition and hopt to erect the new church building on the lot at the corner of Forest and Wilmette avenues. The religious education department, Clare C. Hosmer, chairman, plans to raise the standard of the courses and increase their size. Miss Annie Beach, chairman of the Missionary department, spoke of ways to raise the money for the large budget adopted for charity in the Village and in Chicago for War Relief work and specific gifts.
Worship department, Howard Bowen, chairman, will work at the problems of decoration, ushering etc. to contribute to the beauty of the hours of worship.
Community Service department, Stacey C. Bennet chairman, is leading the church in its co-operative efforts with local organizations for Village betterment and War relief.
Woman's department, Mrs. H. G. Davisson, chairman, has devisied plans for the year's work. Members will not try to raise money but will pledge outright themselves. Hours will be volunteered to Red Cross and Missionary work.

Laymen's department, William M. Burns, chairman, will cooperate this fall the National Committee of the Northern Baptist's Laymen, New York city, in a nationwide campaign for spiritual enlistment, November 17-24.
Young People's department, chapter of the Baptist Young People's Union of America, presented plans for the spiritual nurture of all the children and young people of the church and also for welfare service locally.
Pastor Reverend Francis C. Stiffler called attention to the fact that the 5 year old church has workers in the larger fields of the denomination: W. E. Shoemaker, president of the Chicago Baptist Social Union; C. L. Major, manager of the Baptist Publication Society; F. L. Anderson, Superintendent of the Baptist Executive Council, E. P. Phelps, president of the Chicago City Union of the Baptist Young People's Union of America.
