- An infant welfare station just opened in Gross Point is to be financed by volunteer funds from New Trier Township organizations. Albert Zeutschel offered the use of a room to a small committee headed by Mrs. Hope Thompson of Wilmette. On opening day, between 2 and 4 o'clock, 12 infants were received by the nurse and were given the best advice possible in the absence of the physician [Dr. M. C. Hecht] who was suffering from influenza. Present equipment is borrowed, and donations are being sought especially comforters and new small blankets, a stove, a rug, paper towling. Contact persons are Mrs. Hope Thompson and Mrs. V. C. Sanborn of Kenilworth.
The station isi located in Gross Point in the building owned by Albert Zeutschel on Ridge Road just south of Lake avenue. Children under six may be brought on Wednesday afternoons from 2 to 4 o'clock. Mothers should bring the childs government weighing and measuring cards. Service will be free.
