- New Trier scored the best-ever effort for a Midwestern-based program by capturing national championships in the girls Varsity 8 plus and both boys and girls freshmen divisions at the National Championship Regatta held on the Cooper River in Cherry Hill, N.J. last weekend.
Girls Varsity 8: Melissa Smith, Jennifer Marchuk, Rachel Delehanty, Molly Sessersmith, charlotte Guyett, Molly Wike, Meg Simpson, Libby Munson and Molly Selig
Freshman boys 8 plus: Patrick O'Hara, Conor Jones, Jasosn Kopelman, Patrick Miner, Taggart Denton, Alex Dern, Tommy Morrison, Conor Smith and Joseh Mann
Freshman girls 8 plus: Sarah Specht, Katie Wilcox, Hilary Going, Heidi, Voelker, Hannah Wilson, Madeline Tobisch, Joanie Weaver, Kathryn Brewer and Eliza Poor
Runner up finishes in the second girls varsity 8 plus: Libby Hambleton, Taylor Witzki, Taylor Rafayko, Catherine Mullin, Samantha Kiersey, Britt Woodbury, Elizabeth O'Connell, Ellie Canade, Addie Garland
Runner up finish in the second men's varsity 8: Cooper Dinges, Eric Neilson, Stephen Kendall, Dan Krasnow, Chris Daniels, Jake Carrigan, Rudy Iberle, Regan Sullivan, Jason Kuo
In the Petite finals, New Trier's varsity 8-plus crew of Peter Donnan, Chris Bowman, Christ Kamberos, Matt Clark, Jay Heald, Owen Proteau, Chris Mayerfeld, Spencer Grundy and Owen Myers claimed fifth place.
