Mary Lu Roffe, Winnetka native, is one of the producers of the Broadway show "Talk Radio," nominated for a Tony Award as Best Play Revival

Evanston's Emma Chanen, 10, stars in astudent film called "Cello Lesson" running in the Cannes' Short Film Corner. Written and produced by Northwestern University students Malcolm Gray and Paul Kruse, the film is about a young girl in conflict with her father's desire for her to be an accomplished cellist.

Gary Fry of Northfield has song he wrote, "To the Sky" debut at the Chicago Sky women's basketball team home pener at Chicago's UIC Pavilion May 22. It was performed by Midwest Young Artists Voices Rising Choir which Fry directs and the Soul Children of Chicago. Photograph Emma Chanen
