- Members of the Chicago Bluegrass Band, Jeff Krause, Tom Boyd, Emery Langmar and Peter Nye, performed a benefit concert at Charlie's Coffee House in Wilmette April 10 to raise money to purchase bullet-proof vests for police dogs in Lake County from the Illinois chapter of the non-profit organization Vest-a-Dog. The evening raised $720--a vest costs $825. For information visit www.ivestadog.org
