- The Ravinia Club conceived the idea of becoming official host for the thousands of men in training at Great Lakes Naval Training Station by entertaining them at Ravinia Park on weekends this summer. August 10 and 11 will be Wilmette's turn to visit with the men and provide the "human element." The program for both days has been announced by Chairman Mrs. Carl B. Hecker. It includes a concert, "athletic stunts," a baseball game, supper to be served by Wilmette ladies under the organization of Mrs. Morton L. Patterson, MRs. R. J. Jordan and Mers Hering.
