- A service flag with 213 stars was presented at New Trier High School last Monday, a gift of the senior class. Principal H. A. Brown introduced the speaker, F. I. Walker. In attendance were Mr. and Mrs. Campbell, parents of Andrew C. Campbell who died in air battle last fall. Major Edward J. Vattman [sic] [Vattmann] pronounced the benediction at the conclusion of the program. Extended quotation from the Walker's remarks. One star was in honor of Lieutenant Philip Comfort Starr of Winnetka, 28, who died February 20, 1918 . He is the son of Merritt Starr, former board of education member.
