Women set about war work in a serious and organized manner.

Federation of Clubs of the Tenth Congressional District will meet with the Evanston Catholic Woman's Club on Thursday, January 24, at the Evanston Woman's Club. Mrs. R H. Parent-Teacher's Association of New Trier High School planning an informal meeting January 23 to discuss farm work by boys. Mr. Burridge D. Butler, federal director for the United States Working Boys' Reserve will be present to talk. Mr. Fred C. Windoes, teacher, will give a report. Mr. Snyder, a teacher, will sing.

Wedding of Miss Mildred Frances Cunneen, daughter of Mrs. P. J. Cunneen, formerly of Wilmette, married Lieutenant John W. O'Callaghan of Camp Custer, Battle Creek, Mich., on Monday, January 14, at the Immaculate Conception Church, Waukegan, Ill. Her attendants were Miss Margaret Murray of Escanaba, Mich., and Mrs. E. J. Knight of Chicago, formerly Miss Dorothy Webster of Wilmette. Reception followed at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. John Alden Cady in Waukegan.

Women's Christian Temperance Union will meet Jan. 21 at the home of Mrs. George Hughes, 1006 Central avenue. Mrs. Harriet Powles [unclear] will speak of the work of the Bethesda day nursery.

The churches of Wilmette will again hold services after bad weather cancellations the last two weeks.

Donald Murdock, son of Mr. and Mrs. George C. Murdock, 1316 Elmwood avenue, who enlisted in Base Hospital Unit No. 13 last June, has received orders of mobilization for Camp McPherson, Georgia.

Miss Winifred Bilsland will entertain friends at a dance party on Saturday at her home, 1228 Elmwood avenue, in honor of her birthday. Guests will include Marion Reese, Elizabeth Bruch, Florence Scribner, Kathlyn and Virginia Dean of Glencoe, Edward Scheidenhelm, Edward Schmidt, Bruson [unclear] Field, Stanley Weld, Wesley Kieft [unclear], Richard Cody, Donald Linn, Jack Higby and Ellis Jones.

Mr. Justin McEachren delivered an address on the "Metric System" in Pittsburgh.

Music Study class of the Wilmette Woman's club with Mrs. B. F. Bilsland, chairman, presented Mabel Sharp Herdine in recital assisted by .

Woman's Catholic Club of Wilmette will meet Friday afternoon, January 25. Mrs. Genevieve Cook of the Juvenile Detention school will speak, and Madame Marie Sidenias Zendt wil sing. Hostesses are Mesdames F. M. Hoffman and L. W. Crush.

Eight girls enjoyed a progressive house party during the holidays: Dorothy King, Norma McKenzie, Gerda Nelson, Elizabeth Pond, Isabelle Pope, Mary Louise Scheidenhelm, Helen White and Arline Woodcock. Hosteses were Mesdames W. J. King, G. A. Pond, H. A. Pope, J. J. Scheidenhelm, G. D. White, A. J. Woodcock, H. H. McKenzie and D. Nelson.

Woman's Club will hold quarterly luncheon Wednesday next week. Hostesses are Mesdames Frank A. Wilson and William S. Freeman. Lecture by Mrs. James Parker.

Young Ladies' Auxiliary of the Woman's Club will give charity ball Feb. 21 at the club house to benefit the philanthropy department of the club

Miss Alicia Pratt will conduct a series of afternoon dances for New Trier students at the Wilmette Woman's Club beginning January 24.

Young Ladies' Auxiliary held meting Tuesday evening at the club house.

Fortnightly Bridge Club will be entertained Tuesday at the home of Mrs. W. D. Collyer, 530 [unclear] Hill Street.

Mr. and Mrs. Alfred L. Bersbach, 1126 Michigan avenue, will spend the winter in San Diego, Cal.

Women's Society of the Baptist Church will meet Tuesday to sew.

Mrs. Edward J. Schager hostess Tuesday at her home 1222 Chestnut avenue, in honor of Miss Agnes Collyer, whose marriage will be this month, and Mrs. Charles A. Barton, who is leaving town shortly.

Mrs. Charles A. Barton, 808 Ashland avenue, accompanied by her mother, Mrs. Agnes Seng, will spend the rest of the winter at the Menger hotel, San Antonio, Texas

Miss Winifred Norris, 1314 Forest avenue, returned from the Littlejohn hospital, Chicago after an illness of four weeks.

Mrs. Frank P. Collyer entertained thirty-five school friends of Miss Agnes Collyer, who is to be a bride later this month. Mrs. Collyer's home is 730 Ninth street.
