- Citizens response to officials pleas to remove snow from in front of their property and from fire plugs has reduced the fire manace in Wilmette. The fire department has equipped a sleigh and horses with a hose. Village officials are now turning their attention to problems of a prospective thaw. Citizens are urged to dig out catch basins.
