- Private Chester P. Ambler, son of Mrs. H. C. Ambler, 1015 Wilmette avenue, a member of the One Hundred and Forty-ninth Field Artillery, now in France, writes to his mother telling her of army life. His regiment is the First Illinois Artillery, Col. Henry J. Reilly of Winnetka, commander. Letter is dated December 4, 1917.
