Three groups of women under the direction of the Parent Teacher's association of the Logan school have been serving for the Navy league for the last three weeks. Mrs. Percy Arden, 809 Fifteenth street is chairman of the circle working on the west side; Mrs. J. C. Wilson, is in charge of the group on the south end of the village and Mrs. Charles Munson [unclear], 1719 Highland avenue, is supervising the work of the Highland Avenue Circle, which is working exclusively for the Italian Red Cross. In the short time of organization, 63 garments have been completed by the three groups. Mrs. H. D. Davisson is general chairman of three circles.

The Woman's Mission and Aid society of the Baptist church held their annual meeting at the home of Mrs. E. A. Beach, 1114 Ashland ave. Luncheon was served to fifty-five women. The following officers were elected: president Mrs. H. D. Davisson; vice-president, Mrs. F. C. Stiffler; secretary, Mrs. P.R. Finlay; treasurer, Mrs. Henry Beach. During the year, reports show that the woman [sic] have raised over $900 for the church building Fund and Home and Foreign Missions.

On Saturday afternoon, April 6, the Ways and Means Committee of the Woman's Catholic club of Wilmette will give a benefit card party at the Woman's clubhouse. Mrs. Charles E. Lord is chairman of this department.

Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Norris, 802 Seward avenue, Evanston, announce the birth of a son, John Williams [Norris], on Thursday, February 28th.

Mr. and Mrs. D. Carnall and family of 305 [unclear] Central avenue are registered at The Elms, Excelsior Springs, Mo.

The Spring Bowling Tournament at the Ouilmette Country Club opened Tuesday evening.

Robert White, 1101 Greenwood avenue, has returned from Omaha, Neb., where he spent several days last week.

Miss Florence Rae [unclear] 822 Elmwood avenue, is home from the Washington Park Hospital after an operation.

Mr. and Mrs. Roger F. Peterson of Battle Creek, Mich., have been spending the past fortnight at the home of Mrs. Peterson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Watters, 518 Forest avenue. During the latter part of last week, Mr. Peterson was called to Urbana, Ill., where he is attending the ground school of aeronautics. Mrs. Peterson expects to join him very shortly. Mr. and Mrs. John Watters are spending several weeks in Hot Springs, Ark.

Following a month of quiet at the Wilmette Country Club, owing to the coal shortage in the village, the March program of events has been issued, including a number of interesting affairs. Saturday evening, March 9, Bridge. Saturday Evening, March 16, Senior Formal Party. St. Patrick's Day Features. Monday Afternoon, March 18, Bridge. Saturday Evening, March 23, Bridge. Friday Evening, April 5, Junior Party. Saturday Evening, April 6, Senior Formal Party.

The annual meeting of the Wilmette Woman's club was held on Wednesday evening at the clubhouse, and there was an enthusiastic audience to listen to Professor J. Paul Goode of the University of Chicago and his interesting stereopticon lecture on "The Geographic and Economic Foundation of the War." Mrs. Edward Braidon Rahbone [sic], pianist, presented a number of her original compositions and Mrs. Charles Wadsworth Moody rendered several delightful songs.

Mrs. Edward Kirchberg was hostess to the Fortnightly Bridge club on Tuesday afternoon at her home, 911 Linden avenue.

One of the Thursday Luncheon and Bridge clubs was entertained this week at the home of Mrs. F. G. Feeley, 1228 Forest avenue.

Robert E. Fowler of Evanston has purchased a home on Crescent place, and he and his family expect to occupy it about April first.

Mrs. Andrew J. Woodcock 934 Sheridan Road will entertain one of the Tuesday clubs next week at her home.

Bingham and the Victor dog
Ralph Bingham, the well known entertainer who will be a the Congregational Church Saturday evening, has made records for the Victor Talking Machine Company for several years. Sales of the records of the "Colored Picnic" have passed the 30,000 [unclear] mark, recently. Tickets fifty cents and 25 cents on sale at Snider's Drug Store.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Allen of Minneapolis, Minn., announce the birth of a son, Richard D. Jr., February 22. Mrs. Allen was formerly Miss Pearl Robinson.

Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Herrmann spent the week at Pewaukee Lake, Wis.

Mrs. Robert Rae 822 Elmwood avenue, is recovering from a brief illness.

Miss Bertha Wheelock, 822 Central avenue, left Wednesday to spend several weeks with her sister in Texas.

Last Saturday evening, a senior formal party was held at the Ouilmette Country club.

Miss Dorothy Rae, 822 Elmwood avenue, is expected home soon form New York.

Mrs. Lulu Allen Scott, 929 Central avenue, has recovered from her illness and is spending a few days with friends in Chicago.
