- Nicholas J. Miller of 1921 Birchwood in Wilmette, 91, died June 6 at Evanston Hospital. Born in Chicago, Mr. Miller moved to Wilmette with his family in 1888. In 1913 he moved to Gross Point where he served as a village trustee until it was annexed to Wilmette in 1924. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; three sons, Norbert, Richard and Daniel; six daughters, Gretta Fiegen, Lois Steffens, Vivian Burke, Hope Miller, Jacqueline Meier and Doris Coulter; 30 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.
