- Mrs. Alex Knobel, 38, died in a hospital in Monrovia, California, Saturday, September 9, leaving her husband, who is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Knobel, 204 Wood Court; one son, Howard, 19 years old; and one daughter, Ruth, 8 years old. Her sister-in-law is Mrs. Richard M. Burns of California. Mrs. Knobel was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Shipley, of Akron, Ohio, formerly of Wilmette.
