Mrs. John S. Reid, mother of Mrs. Edward Maston, of 223 Seventeenth street, who recently returned to her home in Florida after spending a month with her daughter here, passed away last Friday. Mrs. Maston's death occurred after she had suffered a paralytic stroke. The funeral services were held Monday morning at 10:30 o'clock in the new memorial chapel of the Woodlawn Presbyterian church, Chicago. Dr. Boddy, pastor of that church, and Dr. Raymond Huston, pastor of the Second Presbyterian church, Evanston, officiated. Mrs. Reid is survived by her husband, John S. Reid, who was a professor in Armour institute for twelve years; two daughters, Mrs. Maston, of Wilmette, and Mrs. William A. Owens, of Kokomo, Ind., and one son, John S. Reid, Jr., of Chicago.
