F. A. Waidner, a resident of Wilmette for more than 23 years, passed away at his home, 816 Forest avenue, Friday, December 24. Mr. Waidner was 85 years of age and had been confined to his home for some time as a result of a stroke of paralysis about five years ago. He was born in Baltimore, Md., October 14, 1842 and moved to Chicago in 1868 and became actively engaged in the brokerage of canned goods. in 1903 he removed to Forest avenue, where he has resided since. He was a member of the Masonic order and of the Wilmette Methodist church.

Funeral services were held from the home Monday morning, the Rev. Thomas Gale, formerly pastor of the Wilmette Methodist church, officiating and assisted by Dr. Horace G. Smith. Burial was at Graceland. Mr. Waidner is survived by a daughter, Ella, 1048 Lake avenue, and four sons, Fred, 1048 Lake avenue, William N., 1046 Greenwood, Harry, residing in Hubbard Woods and Franklin, living in Rogers Park.
