- John Millen, 78, died Monday, January 8, in St. Francis Hospital, Evanston and was buried in All Saints' cemetery, Des Plaines. Mr. Millen's home was at 1128 Greenleaf Avenue. He was a native of Bristol, Wisconsin. He opened his own business, the Millen Hardware company, 1219 Wilmette Avenue, in 1908, and has operated the company since that time. Last January 31, Mr. Millen and his wife, Mrs. Nellie A. Millen, who were married in 1894, celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary, with a celebration of the mass in St. Francis Xavier's church. In addition to Mrs. Millen, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. John K. Hughes, the former Margaret Millen, of Evanston, and Mrs. Wendelin C. Seng, the former Rose Millen, of Bannockburn; and 8 grandchildren, Margaret Mary, Joan, Katharine and Barbara Hughes, and Wendelin, John Millen, Rosemary, and David Seng.
