- Emily Mullen Avakoff, 92, of Fairbanks, Alaska, died May 13 at the Brandel Care Center in Northbrook. Born in Wilmette. Mrs. Avakoff was married three times, to George T. Mullen, John Meyer, and Harry B. Avakoff. Her sisters, Martha Waters and Nell Skelton, and brother George Curly died before her. She is survived by her grandchildren, Sandra K. Lager Berg of Naperville; Susan J. Lager Osborne of Glencoe; and Donald Crane; six great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
