- Dr. Thomas L. Fentress, 75, died July 18 at his home in Weekapaug, R.I. A lifelong resident of Winnetka. He is survived by his wife, Sue, a son, Thomas L. Jr. of Deerfield, two daughters, Julie Bacon of Winnetka and Mary Gruber of Miami, Fla., three sisters, a brother, Calvin Fentress of Lake Forest, two other brothers, and five grandchildren. Celeste Pope Fentress, his first wife and mother of his children, died in 1968.
