- Gwendolyn W. Davis, 53, died January 16 at Evanston Hospital. She was born in India to a missionary family sent there by the Winnetka Congregational Church. Survivors include her husband, G. Merrill Davis; daughter, Laura; sons, Kent, Tim and Eric; mother, Mabel Wolsted of Minneapolis; sister, Jean Tolvert of Chevy Chase, Md.; and brother, Howard Wolsted of Danville, Ill.
