- Charles Lee "Chuck" Matthei, 54, died Oct. 1, 2002 in Voluntown, Conn. of pneumonia. Born on Feb 14, 1948 in Chicago, the son of the late Robert L. and Nancy Horne Matthei of Wilmette. Survived by his mother, his sisters, Nancy Matthei (Mark) Garrigus of Wilmette, and Patty Matthei (Brooks) O'Neil of Edina, Minn.; niece Anne Garrigus; and nephews David Garrigus, Taylor, Charlie, Patch, Tucker and Michael O'Neil
