- Edmund R. Donoghue Sr., 85, of Wilmette, died February 25, 2000 in Evanston Hospital. Survived by his wife, Mary Helen (neé Mulcahy) Donoghue; by six children, Edmund R. (Judy) of Chicago, John (Kim) of Plymouth, Minn., Thomas of Palo Alto, California, Peter (Joan) of Chicago, William of Chicago, and Mary (David) Cutler of Winnetka; 10 grandchildren, Edmund III, Ali, Michael, Matthew, Jack, Olivia, Elyse, Katie Cutler, Clare Cutler and David Cutler; a brother, John L. (Connie) of Glenview; and two sisters, Marie Whitehead of Appleton, Wisconsin, and Cecily (John) Hansen of Park Ridge. Preceded in death by a brother, George and two sisters, Catherine Smith and Sheila.
