- Abigail Prendergast Halpin. Mrs. Halpin, 70, of Evanston, formerly of Chicago and Wilmette, died Jan. 26 at Evanston Hospital. She is survived by two sons Richard L. Jr. (Suzanne) of Olympia Fields and Robert P. of Chicago; two daughters, Gail (Jerome) Prassas of Winnetka and Mary Tures of Evanston; 10 grandchildren; and two sisters, Winifred (John T.) Bourke of Skokie and Mary Fischer of Prospect Heights.
