- Catherine Matthews Harper and John Matthias Homan were married Sept. 20 at The Church of St. Mary's in Lake Forest. The Rev. Michael F. McMahon officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Ernest B. Harper Jr. of Lake Forest and the late Ernest B. Harper Jr. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul M. Homan of Washington, D.C., formerly of Kenilworth. The matron of honor was Sarah DeYoung Metzger of Chicago. The best man was Robert C. Herguth of Chicago. Bridesmaids were Janine M. Miller, Michelle Bagan Morgan, Susan Schreiber, Julie M. Homan, Sarah Flanigan Duke, Kristan J. Boyle and Lisa A. Huber. Groomsmen were William Gibbons, Shawn Ortman, Scott Epstein, James Stonebridge, Patrick Ostry, Edward Ghislandi and Len Homan. Ushers were John O'Brien, Abe Tomas and Brendan Hagman. Scripture readers were Tracy Herb, Guita Bozorgi Conway, Mrs. Richard G. Harvie and Brian Wommack. Presenters of the Eucharistic gifts were Margaret Maxwell and Amy Morrison. The bride's personal attendant was Jennifer Manton.
