- Catharine M. LaPat, 85, died Jan. 14 in her home at 808 Judson Ave. She was the wife of the late Herman LaPat. Participating in the funeral liturgy at St. Ma ry's Church in Evanstoon was deacon Courtney T. Smith of Evanston, Mrs. LaPat's son-in-law. Mrs. LaPat is survived by her sister, Mrs. Helen M. Cagney, who resided with her; a son, Richard J. of Lake Forest; two daughters, Helen LaPat Smith of Evanston and Barbara LaPat Besant of Glencoe; 11 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
