- Fred L. Meier of 231 Central Av. in Wilmette died Feb. 15 at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston. Mr. Meier, 93, was born in Racine, Wisconsin. His wife, Clara, died 20 years ago. He is survived by a daughter, Ruth Ringwald, five grandchildren, Karen, Jay, Curtis, Laurel and Chad; and four great grandchildren. A funeral mass was said Feb. 16 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Wilmette. Burial was in All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
